Camilla Bateman

Camilla Bateman is a recent graduate from London’s leading art school, The Slade School of Art, where she specialised in Painting and Photography and experimented with different films and cross processing to dramatic effect. Born in the UK into the world of horse racing with her mother training national hunt racehorses, Camilla has an aesthetic understanding of the horse which is reflected in her images. Back in 1991 she travelled the length of Latin America and there began her fascination with the Hispanic culture. She went on to obtain a degree in Spanish from Bristol University and subsequently lived in Chile for 2 years.

It is in the world of polo that Camilla has found her niche – the combination of art school training; her obvious passion for photography and natural understanding of the horse lend her pictures much weight in the competitive environment of polo photography. Camilla lives in Sotogande, Spain with her 2 small children and is enthusiastically planning a trip to Buenos Aires for the Palermo Open in Nov/Dec 2010. You can see more of her images by adding her as a friend on Facebook: Camilla B Photos.

Rob Gallagher

A six time Oscar winning film financier & producer, Rob took up photography last year as a hobby to relax when he’s not playing polo himself. Rob believes the best stills are moments that tell a story and evoke emotion in the viewer. “Movies are disposable entertainment,” Rob says, “you might watch them once or twice and then store the disk in your library never to be seen again — but the right photograph can be a magical moment in time that will grace the wall of your home for generations and always inspire emotion.”

A USPA member, Rob is the founder & CEO of PoloStats.com which provides statistical performance tracking for polo players globally as well as overseeing The International Polo Forum for Communication & Planning (IPFCP).
